Babies vs Dogs
I will become an aunt in a few months time and I'm really excited about it. I can't wait to cuddle my baby nephew and play with him. But I know for sure that if he cries, s***s or urinates, I'll immediately return him to his parents. Firstly, I don't think I can handle crying babies. Secondly, I don't know how to clean them. Thirdly, I think I'll be cleaning myself up first (if they pee or poo on me) before attending to them. Sorry J and S!
Babies are a joy when playing with them, but when it comes to looking after them, it can be a test of patience.
On the other hand, I don't mind having dogs as substitutes. At least, dogs are easier and cheaper to take care of. Firstly, you save on clothing, diapers and education fees and the best is, you don't have to look after them 24hrs a day, 7 days a week! They can take care of themselves! All you have to do is feed them about twice a day, and once in a while, give them a bath. As for the rest of the day, you're free to do whatever you want. Dogs are also very obedient and loyal and they will not talk back to you. As for babies, if you're lucky, they'll grow up to be very filial and great people. If not, good luck to you!
Recently, in the papers, in two different cases, two sons took their parents to court and sued them over money matters. I really pity the parents. All their love and energy in bringing up the two men have come to a waste.
In general, if I were to choose between a baby and a dog, the dog will definitely win. But for now, I'm just very excited about the arrival of my little nephew.
